In December 2023, Nation Media underwent restructuring, which included the partial closure of Dembe FM.
This closure resulted in job losses for a lot of employees members, together with Kasuku, DJ Jacob Omutuzze, and Eddie Sendie, amongst others.
The excellent news is that the radio station will resume operations, with every day programming.
According to Daily Monitor journalist Gabriel Buule, Dembe FM will relaunch on the thirteenth of this month.
Before its closure, Dembe FM was recognized for its leisure packages, notably the Saturday “Talk and Talk” present, hosted by Kasuku, Jenkins Mukasa, and Eddie Sendie. The present was recognized for its important evaluation of Ugandan music and artists.
Sources on the Namuwongo-based station point out that the previous hosts have been changed by new expertise, and the station will function recent programming.
