Medical medical doctors below the Uganda Medical Association have requested the Uganda Communications Commission to halt the discharge of a music video that musician Gravity Omutujju is reportedly engaged on.
Herbert Luswata, the President of the Uganda Medical Association, argued that the usage of a medical coat and stethoscope within the scenes undermines the professionalism of the medical group.
“We demand that the leisure business ceases misusing our medical coats and stethoscopes as this undermines the professionalism of our medical group and erodes public belief,” Dr. Herbert Luswata, the UMA president, mentioned.
Luswata maintained that the photographs painting a detrimental picture of the medical career.
He added, “The photos circulating usually are not good in any respect. He is seen with a needle and carrying a medical coat and stethoscope, portraying that he’s analyzing a lady bending towards him, and it is ugly. We are going to ask UCC to ban this tune on ethical grounds. It seems to be like that is what we do to folks’s ladies in examination rooms, and it isn’t good,” Luswata emphasised.
Gravity Omutujju launched the teasers of the tune he’s engaged on with musician Shakira Shakira over the weekend.
