Brian Avie expressed his disappointment with Ugandan musicians, urging them to have greater goals than simply catering to the native market.
He defined that many artists are too snug with their native viewers, producing music that targets solely residents of locations like Kalerwe market and its surrounding areas.
He inspired them to emulate Joshua Baraka, saying he’s pleased with the strides Baraka is making for the Ugandan music trade.
“Musicians in Uganda face one main problem: they primarily produce music for native consumption, but the dream ought to be greater than the native market. I’m so pleased with Joshua Baraka; he is doing his greatest to make sure his music crosses borders,” he stated in an interview with an area tv station.
Brian Avie believes artists ought to concentrate on creating music that reaches far past Uganda.
