Gossip columnist Kasuku has revealed that the standard of music in Uganda has declined as a result of artists are not centered on music however moderately on politics.
Kasuku defined that the artists who must be making good music are preoccupied with politics, which has allowed mediocre music to thrive.
“Today, the music business isn’t about music, which is why the standard is not so good as it was once. Those who must be making the music we wish are concerned in nationwide politics,” he partly mentioned in an interview with NTV Uganda.
Kasuku emphasised that politics poses a big problem to the music business, as musicians are divided alongside political traces.
“National politics has divided Uganda’s musicians. Some assist the federal government, whereas others are with the opposition. It’s an enormous problem for the business,” he famous.
The Ugandan music business grew to become politically energetic in 2017 when Bobi Wine, one among its pillars, joined energetic politics.
